Approval of Minutes
Review of Minutes from September 18th, 2018 – The minutes were approved.
Invoices for Approval
None
Correspondence
A Memo from Chief Walsh regarding a suspension of a Police Officer dated September 24th,
2018.
A Memo from Chief Walsh regarding a suspension of a Police Officer dated October 1st, 2018
A memo from Chief Walsh regarding a suspension of a Police Officer dated October 2nd, 2018.
Old Business
1. Background Reviews – The commissioners discussed the results of backgrounds for
potential hires.
2. Fire Department Vacancy - The Fire Department has 1 current open position, and will
potentially have another at the end of the month. The commission discussed scheduling
Individual Oral Interviews in executive session at the next meeting.
3. Police Department Updates. The Police Written Exam will be held at EGV High School on
November 18th. The police Chief plans on giving a speech. Several commissioners plan on
meeting and greeting candidates.
New Business
1. 6 Six Month Probationary Review for PO - The Police Department provided positive
feedback for the probationary police officer. The candidate will continue through the field
training program and is scheduled for his final review on 4-16-2018.
2. Notification for Fire Promotions Process. – Fire promotions testing will open next
November. The commissioners discussed the notification to send to the Fire Department.
Eligibility List
1. Firefighter Eligibility List will expire on 09/15/2019.
2. Fire Lieutenant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 02/27/2020.
3. Police Officer Eligibility list Expires 02/21/2019
4. Police Sergeant Eligibility list scheduled to expire on 07/08/2021.
