Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on June 20, 2017, this Executive
Session was called
to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
Jane Sloger Village Nurse, and Linda Blair Community Service Coordinator, have retired.
Alexian Brothers has a senior resource center that offers many of the services the Village nurse
used to offer. Additionally, our firefighter/paramedics will be able to fill in for the rest of these
services.
The Police Department has in the past had to cover the duties of the Community Services
Coordinator when Linda Blair was out on extended medical leave. The Police Chief believes the
Village can provide the same level of service by readjusting some work responsibilities and has
requested 60 days to evaluate before making a decision.
The Committee requested some additional information on the special needs residents who the
Village nurse had been assisting. Staff is working on a plan to address services previously
offered by the Village Nurse and Community Services Coordinator.
The consensus of the Board was to defer discussion of this matter until September.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:54 p.m.
