FEICHTER Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on November 14, 2017, this Executive Session was called to consider review of a Land Acquisition/ Disposition matter. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: June 2018 Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: January 9, 2018 November 14, 2017 6:40 p.m. The Village has been attempting to ensure that the daycare at the Township Chelmsford property stays open through 2018. The Township agreed to fund the daycare through March 2018, with some additional support for the following year. The Bulgarian School does not want to sign the real estate contract until the existing daycare is closed because they plan to open their own daycare. The Board discussed that the new Bulgarian daycare and school would cater to the Bulgarian community. The consensus of the Board was to give the Mayor the authority to negotiate with the Bulgarian School to allow the existing Township daycare to stay for at least one more year with a total purchase price of $2.3 million from the Park District and the Bulgarian School. If that is not possible, the consensus of the Board was to give the Mayor the authority to approach the Park District to sell the entire property for $2 million. The meeting was adjourned at 6:48 p.m. OR
