FEICHTER Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 12, 2017, this Executive Session was called to consider review a Personnel matter. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: July 2018 Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: January 9, 2018 December 12, 2017 6:30 p.m. The Police Department's Evidence Technician position is vacant due to Officer Jedlink's departure, and they have been having trouble finding an Officer interested in filling the position. Other organizations use civilians for this type of work, and the Police Chief would like to pursue utilizing two part-time civilian staff to take over this role. There would be a $40,000 savings just in pension costs. The consensus of the Board was to allow the Police Chief to advertise for these vacant positions and to place a confirming item authorizing the positions on the January 9 Board Agenda. The meeting was adjourned at 6:31 p.m.
