AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 3616 BY CORRECTING TWO
SECTIONS REGARDING THE REGULATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT IN SPECIAL
FLOOD HAZARD AREAS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Definition of "Development" set forth in Section 8-11-2 of the
Regulations be amended by changing the last sentence of said definition to read as follows:
If a travel trailer or recreational vehicle is on site for less than 180 days in a calendar year,
it must be fully licensed and ready for highway use;
Section 2: That Section 8-11-6-C-8 of the Regulations be amended to read as follows:
8. The basement floor shall be at an elevation that is no more than five feet (5) below the
BFE.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
