AN ORDINANCE RENAMING WELLINGTON COURT
BETWEEN CLOVER HILL LANE AND ITS NORTH-
WESTERLY TERMINUS TO CLOVER HILL COURT
WHEREAS, the Village has identified several addresses on Wellington
Avenue and Wellington Court which are duplicates and could present a
potential for the misdirection of United States Mail and emergency
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, these duplicate addresses were created as a function of the
development of land commonly known as the Talbots Mill Subdivision; and
which is named Clover Hill Lane and which represents a reasonable extension
of Wellington Court; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees deem it reasonable and
proper to rename Wellington Court for the purpose of avoiding the potential
misdirecting of mail and the emergency vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That the name of the street now known as "Wellington
Court" between Clover- Hill Lane and its northwesterly terminus be and the
same is hereby changed to "Clover Hill Court" within the corporate limits
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois.
Section 2: That the Village Clerk be and is hereby directed to send
written notice of the change of the name of said street by certified or
registered mail to all Election Authorities having jurisdiction in the area
in which the subject road now exists and United States Post Office Branch
serving the subject area.
Section 3: That the name change shall be effective December 1,
1990, which date shall be more than thirty (30) days after the Election
Authorities and Post Office Branch referred to herein have been notified of
the change of name.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to cause the
name change provided for herein to be reflected on the Official Maps of the
Village.
Section 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish
this Ordinance in Pamphlet Form.
Section 6: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
