Home My WebLink AboutORDINANCE - 2512 - 10/8/1996 - NUISANCES OF BUSINESS & LICENSE REGSORDINANCE NO. 2512 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3-1-13 NUISANCE BUSINESSES OF TITLE 3 BUSINESS AND LICENSE REGULATIONS OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY PROHIBITING HARMFULOR NUISANCE RELATED BIN WHEREAS, the Health Department of the Village of Elk Grove Village have researched health and safety conditions with respect to various businesses, occupations or activities and have advised the President and Board of Trustees of certain findings related thereto; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find and believe it to be in the best interest of the residents of the Village of Elk Grove Village to prohibit certain busi- nesses or activities which constitute a health hazard or nuisance to the residents of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 3-1-13 Nuisance Businesses be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 3-1-13. Nuisance Businesses. No business, occupation, trade or activity shall be conducted or operated in such a manner or nature so as to amount to a health hazard or public nuisance. In addition to activities which, from time to time are deemed to be subject to the provisions of this Section, the following activities are hereby deemed harmful to the well-being of potential patrons and thereby a nuisance and thus prohibited from licensing. A. Tattoo Parlors. Section 2: The Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. Section 3: Any person who violates any provisions of this Ordinance by conduc- ting the business contrary to the provisions hereof shall be subject to a fine of not less than Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues to exist. Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 8th day of October , 1996.
