AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIAL USE PERMITS AT FIVE (5) LOCATIONS
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNAS
AND FURTHER GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:D.2. OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE AT THREE (3) LOCATIONS TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF
EQUIPMENT CABINETS WITHIN SIXTY (60') FEET OF THE FRONT LOT LINE
(SOUTHWESTERN BELL MOBILE SYSTEMS, INC. D/B/A CELLULAR ONE -
CHICAGO
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Plan Commission of the Village of
Elk Grove Village at a joint public hearing considered the question of granting Special Use Per-
mits for five (5) locations in the Village to install wireless telecommunications antennas and for a
variation of three (3) of said sites to permit the installation of equipment cabinets within sixty
(60') feet of the front lot line; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after hearing the recommendation and
finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals and Plan Commission find and believe that said Special
Use Permits and variations as requested be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Special Use Permits be granted to Cellular One - Chicago to permit the
installation of wireless telecommunication antennas, at the following locations:
The construction of two (2) eighteen (18") inch antennas to be placed on the VFW
sign and two (2) equipment cabinets to be placed at the base of the VFW sign at
property located at 400 East Devon (Elk Grove VFW Club)
2299 S. Busse Road
The construction of two (2) eighteen (18") inch antennas to be placed on an exist-
ing sign and two (2) equipment cabinets to be placed at the base of the sign on
property located at 2299 S. Busse Road (Sanfilippo & Sons, Inc.)
333 Plum Grove Road
The construction of two (2) eighteen (18") inch antennas to be placed on the Fox
Run Golf Links sign and two (2) small equipment cabinets to be placed at the rear
of the maintenance building on property located at 333 Plum Grove Road (Fox
Run Site I).
Vermont and Meacham Road
The construction of two (2) eighteen (18") inch antennas to be attached to the top
of a thirty (30') foot steel utility pole with small equipment cabinets located at the
base of the pole at property located approximately 260 feet North of the intersec-
tion of Vermont and Meacham (Fox Run Site II).
22 Arlington Heights Road
The construction of two (2) eighteen (18") inch antennas to be placed on the top
of an existing thirty (30') foot light pole and two (2) small equipment cabinets to
be placed within the fence enclosure on property located at 22 Arlington Heights
Road.
That the Special Use Permits granted shall be subject to the following:
A. That all cabling equipment installed on the structures be comparable in color
to the existing structure;
B. That landscaping be installed to provide adequate screening of the equipment
boxes where necessary; and
C. That Cellular One agree to remove facilities at each location upon permanently
ceasing operations at that location.
Section 2: That a variation of Section 3-6:D.2 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to
detached accessory structures located within sixty (60') feet of the front lot line be granted as fol-
lows:

400 E. Devon Avenue
A variation to permit the installation of two (2) equipment cabinets to be located
thirteen (13') feet from the front lot line.
2299 S Busse Road
A variation to permit the installation of two (2) equipment cabinets 22.58 feet
from the front lot line.
Vermont and Meacham Road
A variation to permit the installation of equipment cabinets on the Fox Run Golf
Course property located at Vermont and Meacham Road which would encroach in
the required setback area.
Section • That the legal descriptions for the property for which the Special Use Permits
are herein granted shall be on file in the office of the Department of Engineering and Community
Development.
Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
