AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.4213,
TAXICAB RATES, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILL.
WHEREAS, the Elk Grove Village Cab Company and T & D Cab Service,
Inc. of Elk Grove have petitioned the Village for an increase in
taxicab rates; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said petition, the Public Vehicle Commission
of the Village held a public hearing to determine whether the granting
of such increase is in the best interests of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 18.4213, Rates, of Article XLII, Taxicabs,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
18.4213. Rates.
The charges for taxicab service shall not exceed
Seventy ($.70) Cents for the first two -fifth's (2/5's) mile
or portion thereof, and Ten ($.10) Cents for each succeeding
one-eigth (1/8) mile or fraction thereof, providing that if
more than one (1) passenger is carried on a trip there may
be an additional charge of Ten ($.10) Cents for each
additional passenger; Ten ($.10) Cents for each sixty
(EC) seconds of waiting time; and Twenty -Five ($.25) Cents
for parcel deliver other than for normal luggage carried.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
