HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1108 - 11/23/1976 - ZONING VARIATION/SBL ASSOCIATESORDINANCE NO. 1108 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS AS THEY PERTAIN TO INTERIOR PARKING IN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, TO RIVER FOREST STATE BANK AND TRUST COMPANY AS TRUSTEE OF TRUST NO. 1688 AND SBL ASSOCIATES WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a public meeting duly called and held according to law considered the question of granting a variation of Section 3.94, Paragraph I, of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to off-street parking spaces located in the interior of residential buildings to the River Forest State Bank and Trust Company, as Trustee under Trust No. 1688, and SBL Associates; and WHEREAS, said Zoning Board of Appeals did find that a practical hardship exists so as to warrant such a variation being granted; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village that such variation be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and Du Page Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section I: That there be granted a variation of Section 3.94, Paragraph I, of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village to the River Forest State Bank and Trust Company, as Trustee of Trustee No. 1688, and SBL Associates, to permit parking spaces to be located in the interior of residential buildings to have a length of not less than 19 feet and a width of not less than 9 feet, provided that the minimum width may be reduced to 8 feet, 6 inches, for parking spaces in which a supportive column is located. The variation is subject to the condition that all access aisles for said parking spaces have a minimum width of not less than 24 feet. The variation is to apply to the SBL Associates proposed development located north of Devon Avenue, west of Interstate 90 and east of Rohlwing Road and legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein. Section 2: That the Village Clerk ;s hereby directed to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full, force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication accor0ina to law.
