AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.903 (LANE
DESIGNATION) OF ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES) OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS the Village on the Lake Homeowners Association
has adopted a resolution, pursuant to Section 11.209.1, Chapter
953., of the Illinois Revised Statutes, 1975, requesting the
Village of Elk Grove Village, its police and fire departments,
to regulate all vohicular traffic on any private roadway, trail,
terrace, parkway or parking area within property which it owns
and controls (which resolution is attached as Exhibit A of
Ordinance 1042, passed and adopted 24 Feb 746); and,
WHEREAS the Elk Grove Estates Townhouse Association II
is,a part of the Lake Homeowners Association and have adopted
a resolution requesting specific areas to be designated as fire
lanes (which Resolution is attached as Exhibit A of this Ordinance);
and,
WHEREAS the Elk Grove Estates Townhouse Association II
has submitted a map of property owned and controlled by them
(which map is attached as Exhibit B) deplicting red areas requested
to be designated as fire lanes; and,
WHEREAS the chief of the fire department has concurred in
the request by the Association:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, as follows:
SECTION 1: That Section 23.903 of the Municipal Code of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, which provides for certain areas
located in the Village to be designated "Fire Lanes", and making
it unlawful for any person or vehicle to block or obstruct wholly
or partially any such designated area, be amended by adding
thereto the following:
The Elk Grove Estates Townhouse Association II - All
areas designated as Fire Lanes on a map entitled
"Elk Grove Estates Townhouse Association II", which
map is incorporated by reference as a part of Ordinance
No. 1090
SECTION 2: That a map entitled, "ELF: GROVE ESTATES
TOWNHOUSE ASSOCIATION II", with red markings indicating those
areas designated as fire lanes (Exhibit B, attached hereto) be and
the same is hereby incorporated into this ordinance.
SECTION 3: Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five
($5.00) Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) for each
offense.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage approval and publication
according to law.
SECTION 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this ordinance in pamphlet form and the Village Manager
is directed to post all areas designated as fire lanes hereby
with appropriate signs.
