AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH A OF
SECTION 5.81, PERMITTED USES IN THE I-1
DISTRICT, OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
at a public meeting duly called and held according to law, considered
the question of a proposed text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
which would permit the manufacture of shortening, table oil, margarine
and other eatable fats and oils subject to certain processing conditions;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendations of said
Plan Commission find and believe it to be in the best interests of the
Village that the Zoning Ordinance be amended as proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Paragraph A of Section 5.81 of the Zoning Ordinance
wherein it prohibits the manufacture of shortening, table oil, margarine
and other eatable fats and oils not otherwise classified, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
2096. The Manufacture of Shortening, Table Oil., Margarine,
and Other Eatable Fats and Oils, Not Otherwise Classified;
provided, however, this provision shall not prevent the processing
of said products by a chilling procedure or such other procedure
not productive of odor.
Section 2: That any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with, or who resists the
enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject
to a fine of not less than $5.00 nor more than $500.00 for each and
every offense. A separate offense shall be deemed comitted on each day a
violation occurs or continues. In addition to the penalties imposed herein,
the Village Attorney may institute any proper action or proceedings in
the name of the Village to prevent any unlawful condition from continuing
or remaining in existence.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
