HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 1049 - 4/13/1976 - ANNEXATION/DEVON AVEORDINANCE NO. 1049 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 1.22 ACRES (SWIGLO PROPERTY) PURSUANT TO A PRIOR ANNEXATION AGREEMENT AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO. 25-7ti . WHEREAS, a written petition requesting annexation has been filed with the Village of Elk Grove Village by the Citizens Bank and Trust Company of Park Ridge, Illinois as Trustee under Trust No. 66-2050 and Robert A. Swiglo; and WHEREAS, an Annexation Agreement dated April 13, , 19 76 , by and between the Village of Elk Grove Village and said trust was entered into providing for the annexation of the hereinafter described property, in accordance with the terms of said agreement; and WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove, Village, and has no electors residing thereon; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois have examined and executed said agreement and believe it to be in the best interests of the Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That the land and territory legally described in the attached Exhibit A, which exhibit is incorporated herein by reference and made a part of this ordinance, which land is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village and not within the limits of any muni- cipality, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village, in accordance with the Annexation Agreement previously entered into between the Citizens Bank and Trust Company of Park Ridge, Illinois as Trustee under Trust No. 66-2050 and Robert A. Swiglo so that hereinafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village. Section 2: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village is directed to record a certified copy of this Ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES 7 NAYS 0 ABSENT 0 PASSED this 13th day of April , 1976.
