HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 912 - 2/12/1974 - ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR SALE TO MINORORDINANCE NO. �//--;— AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.024 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE RELATING TO THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR TO MINORS NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, By the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That Section 20.024 Minors - Sale To.) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village be and the same is hereby amended by deleting the following paragraphs: It shall be unlawful for any female person under the age of eighteen years or for any male person under the age of twenty-one years to purchase or obtain any alcoholic liquor in any tavern, or other place in the Village where alcoholic liquor is sold. It shall be unlawful for any female person under the age of eighteen years or for any male person under the age of twenty-one years to misrepresent his or her age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic in any tavern or other place in the Village where alcoholic liquor is sold. And substituting therefore the following two paragraphs: It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of twenty-one years, or in the case of beer and wine, under the age of nineteen years to purchase or obtain any alcoholic liquor in any tavern, or other place in the village where alcoholic liquor is sold. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of twenty-one years, or in the case of beer and wine, under the age of nineteen years to misrepresent his age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor, beer or wine in any tavern or other place in the Village where alcoholic liquor, beer or wine is sold. Section 2: That all ordinances or portions of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed I Section 3: That any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined not less than $5.00, nor more than $200.00 for each offense and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval anc: publication, according to law. PASSED THIS 12th day of February , 1974.
