AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 22A, WATER & SEWER OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as
follows:
Section l: That Chapter 22A, Water and Sewer, Section 22A.104, Tap -
on and inspection fees,be amended to read as follows:
"Section 22A.104. Tap -on, inspection fees and closed circuit T.V.
examination.
No connection to a water or sewer main shall be made without a
permit being issued and 24 hours notice having been given to the
Village Engineer. Allsuch connections shall be made under the
supervision of the Village Engineer and no connection shall be
covered until the work has been inspected by him. Application
for a connection to Village water or sewer main shall be made
to the Superintendent of the Water and Sewer Department, together
with a tender of the proper tap -on and inspection fee in an amount
determined by resolution of the President and Board of Trustees and
in accordance with the provisions of Section 8.005 of this code,
prior to the issuance of any permit.
Inspection by closed circuit television shall be required prior to
approval and acceptance by the Village of all sanitary and storm
sewers. All costs for said inspection shall be paid by the developer.
The Village Engineer shall evaluate the reports and photographs
obtained thereby. If said photographs and evidence show the sewer
main to be free from engineering defect and foreign substance and
show that it meets all other approved engineering standards, the
Village Engineer shall approve the mains for acceptance by the
Village.. If not, he shall direct such remedial activity as is
necessary to be done prior to the acceptance of said mains. All
photographs and reports obtained as a result of said inspection
shall be the property of the Village of El.k Grove Village."
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval, according to law.
