AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONTINUATION OF A
SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO LODGE NO. 2423 OF THE
BENEVOLENT AND PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELKS TO
USE THE PREMISES AT 115 GORDON STREET AS
A MEETING PLACE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois, that:
Section 1: That the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Elk Grove Village be modified by the granting of a continuation
of a special use permit, previously granted by Ordinance No. 775,
to permit Lodge No. 2423 of The Benevolent and Protective Order of
Elks to use the premises at 115 Gordon Street as a meeting place and
club facility, subject to the following:
A. That parking for 92 vehicles after 5:00 P.M. on week days,
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays be provided, and additional parking
as may on occasion be required by the Chief of Police.
B. That food preparation on its premises is not permitted,
although the service of coffee and catered food is permitted.
C. That liquor is not served before 4:00 P.M., except for
Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
D. That all provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, or any other
ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall be fully complied
with, except as herein amended.
Section 2: That this special use permit shall terminate
one (1) year from date hereof, unless extended by the Village.
Section 3: That no person, firm or corporation shall violate
any provision of the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Elk Grove
Village or the provisions herewith, and that the pen+lty for such
violation shall not be less than $5.00 nor more than $200.00.
Each day a violation is permitted to exist shall be considered
a separate and distinct offense.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
