AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE. ON TUESDAY. APRIL 17. 1973
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois
Section I. That there shall be a regular election of officers of the
Village of Elk Grove Village on Tuesday, April 17, 1973.
Section 2. That at said election there shall be elected:
A Village President, for a four year term
A Village Clerk, for a four year term
3 Village Trustees, each for a four year term
1 Village Trustee, for a two year term
2 Library Directors, each for a six year term,
Section 3. That the ballots to be used in said election shall be in the
form prescribed by statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk
to see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the election and to
cause samples of said ballots to be published prior to the day of the
election in the Ell: Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation
published in said Village, and to cause to be provided the necessary
election supplies.
Section 4. That at least fifteen days but not more than thirty days prior
to the election, the Village Clerk shall cause to be published in the Elk
Grove Herald a notice of election which shall be substantially as follows:

Section 5, That the precincts or voting districts for said election and the
polling places shall be those designated in the preceding section.
Section 6. That the Judges of Election shall be appointed by the President
with the approval of the Board of Trustees in the manner providr.d by law.
Section 7. That said election and matters pertaining thereto shall be
conducted in the manner prescribed by the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
Section 8. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval according to law.
