AN ORDIkA NCE AMENDING SE(TlON 23.903 (LANE
DESIGNATION) OF ARTICLE IX (FIRE LANES)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the owner of the Wild Oak Apartments of Elk Grove
Village has requested in writing that certain areas within the
development be designated as fire lanes; and
WHEREAS, it is further requested by said owner that the
Elk Grove Police Department be granted the authority to enforce
any ordinance prohibiting parking on said designated fire lanes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, as follows:
Section 1: That Sec. 23.903 of the Municipal Code of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, which provides for certain areas
located in the Village to be designated "Fire Lanes", and making
it unlawful for any person to block or obstruct wholly or partly any
such designated area, be amended by adding thereto the following:
G. Carroll Square Apartment Complex:
All areas designated as Fire Lanes on a map entitled,
"Oakton Street Carroll Square", which map is incor-
porated by reference as a part of Ordinance No. 846
Section 2: That a map entitled,"Oakton Street, Carroll
Square" with red markings indicating those areas designated as
fire lanes (Exhibit A, attached hereto) be and the same is hereby
incorporated into this ordinance.
Section 3: Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provision of this ordinance shall be fined not .less than
Five ($5.00) Dollars, nor more than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars
for each o--fense.
Section 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication,
according to law.
Section 5: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized
to publish this ordinance in pamphlet form and the Village Manager
is directed to post all areas designated as fire lanes hereby
with appropriate signs.
