HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 742 - 4/6/1971 - VACATION OF PUBLIC WALKWAYORDINANCE NO. 742 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A WALKWAY IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE. ILLINOIS WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, after due consideration and investigation, have determined that the nature and extent of the public use and the public interests to be served are such as to warrant the vacation of the walkway hereinafter described and that the public interests will be best served by the Village being relieved from the responsibility for maintaining the same; and WHEREAS, owners of property adjoining the hereinafter described property have each paid the sum of One ($1.00) Dollar; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That the public walkway described as follows: As dedicated in Elk Grove Village, Section 15, being a subdivision in Section 32, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying south of the south line of Lot 4672, west of the west line of Lot 4485, north of the north line of Yarmouth Rd., and lying east of the east line of Lot 4484, all in Elk Grove Village, 15 aforesaid, in Cook County, 111. as indicated by the words ''TO BE VACATED'' on the plat hereto attached, which plat for greater certainty is hereby made a part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby vacated and closed inasmuch as the same is no longer required for public use and the public interests will be served by such vacation as hereinabove set forth. Section 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in,full force and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to law.
