NOW, THEMYORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Article II of Chapter 14 of the 1,1unicipal Code of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, as revised December, 1963, and subsequent amend-
ments to said Article and Chapter be and are hereby repealed, and Section 2,
Article II of Chapter 14 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
shall read as follows:
"Article II
Through Street, One -Flay Streets, and Stop Intersections
14.201 - Through Streets. The streets and parts of streets of the Village
designated by ordinance as through streets are hereby declared to be through
streets. The driver of any vehicle shall stop at the entrance to a through
street and shall yield the right-of-way to any other vehicles or pedestrians
which have entered the intersection or which are approaching so close on a
through street as to constitute an immediate hazard, unless directed by the
traffic officer or a traffic control signal. The driver of any vehicle shall
come to a complete stop whether or not real hazards are present.
14.202 - Designated Through Streets. The following streets, roads and highways
or portions thereof are hereby designated and declared to be through streets:
except where controlled by a four-way stop, signalization or other traffic
controls:

Every driver of any vehicle transversing any street intersection with any
through street shall stop such vehicle before entering upon the through
street within ten (10) feet of such intersection unless a go signal is
given at such intersection by a traffic officer or traffic signal or
traffic control signs or devices at such intersection.
111.203. Three -gray and Four-way stop intersections. The following inter-
sections are designated three -tray and four-way stop intersections:

B. Lively Boulevard and

Every driver of any vehicle shall stop such vehicle at the stop sign or
stop line indicated before proceeding into any three-way or four-way stop
intersection and shall yield the right of way to any other vehicle already
stopped for such intersection or for any pedestrian using such intersection
crosswalks unless directed to proceed by a traffic officer.
14.204 One-way and Two-way stop intersections. The following inter-
sections are designated one-way and two-way stop intersections: and all
traffic proceeding on streets listed in Column A -Stop Streets shall stop
before entering in or across the intersections listed opposite Column B -

Every driver of any vehicle shall stop such vehicle at the stop sign
indicated before proceeding into a stop intersection and shall yield
the right of fray to any other vehicle or pedestrian using such inter-
section unless directed to proceed by a traffic officer. The driver
of any vehicle shall come to a complete stop whether or not real hazards
are present.
14.205 Yield Right of !day Intersections: The traffic on roadways
designated in Column A below must yield the right of way to traffic
approaching, entering or within the intersection of said roadways with
the roadways designated in Column B below:

14.200. One-way Streets or Alleys. It shall be unlawful to operate
any vehicle on any street or alley designated as a one-way street or
alley by ordinance, in any direction other than so designated.
111.207. Post Signs. The Chief of Police or any other person designated
by the President and Board of Trustees shall post or cause to be posted
suitable signs for all such through streets, one-way streets or alleys,
and stop and yield intersections.
14.208. The Clerk of the Village is hereby authorized and directed to
publish this ordinance in pamphlet form.
11+.209. Fines and Penalties. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less than $5.00 nor
more than $200.00 for each offense."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in Hall force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication, according to law.
