AN ORDINANCE AMENpING THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING
SECTION 11,105 PROVIDING AGAINST THE DRIVING OF
TRUCKS OVER PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of'Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 11, Article I of the Municipal Code
of the Village of Elk Grove Village be amended by adding thereto
the following:
1111.105 a. Trucks in Public Right of Way.) No vehicle in
excess of 3 tons gross weight shall cross over or upon any
public right of way improved with curb and gutter or side-
walk except on established driveways unless the owner and
driver of said vehicle shall have first obtained from the
Building Department of the Village a permit to so do. No
such permit shall be issued unless the Building Department
is satisfied that appropriate precautions are to be taken
to safeguard public improvements from injury and/or darnage."
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force. and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided for by law.
