AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE'S
ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY CONSISTING OF
THIRTY ACRES OF LAND LOCATED NORTH OF DEVON AVENUE,
WEST OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD AND EAST OF ROUTE 53
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission at a public hearing
duly called and held according to law as Docket No. 67-9
on November 16 , 1967, considered the question of
reclassifying the real estate hereinafter described from
R-1 Twenty Thousand Square Foot Single Family Dwelling
District to R-3 Seven Thousand Five Hundred Square Foot
Single Family Dwelling District
AND, WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, having considered the recom-
mendation of said Plan Commission, find and believe that the
highest and best use of said real estate is that of
R-3 Seven Thousand Five Hundred Square Foot Single Family
Dwelling District
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That an ordinance entitled 11An Ordinance to
Regulate and Limit the Height and Bulk of Buildings; to
Regulate and Limit the Intensity of the Use of Lot Areas,
and to Regulate and Determine the Areas of Open Space Within
and Surrounding Such Buildings; to Classify, Regulate and
Restrict the Location of Trades and industries and the Loca-
xion of Bu}'ldings Designed for Specified Industrial Business,
Eysidential and other uses; to Divide the Entire Village of
Elk Grove Vii gb intd Districts for thg Purpose of this
Ordinance; to ix Standards to Which Buildings or Structures
shall Conform; to Prohibit Uses, buildings or structutes
Incompatible with the Character of Such Districts Respectively;
and to Prevent Additions to and Alterations or Remodeling of
Existing Buildings or Structures in Such a Way as to Avoid the
Restrictions and Limitations Lawfully Imposed Hereunder, and
to Provide Penalties for Violation hereof," passed and approved
July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20, as amended, be
amended by reclassifying the following described real estate
from
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
The East 981.93 feet of the South West Quarter (SW4) of
the South West Quarter (SW4) of Section thirty-two (32),
Township Forty-one (41) North, Range(ll) Eleven, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be
subject to all the limitations and conditions placed upon
properties in the R-3 Single Family Dwelling District
as defined in the ordinances aforementioned.
Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who
resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred ($100.00)
Dollars for each offense, and each day that a violation is
permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
