HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 469 - 5/23/1967 - ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDEDORDINANCE NO. 469 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LANDMEIER ROAD AND STATE ROUTE 83 WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission, at a public meeting duly called and held according to law on April 27, 1967, considered the question of reclassifying the real estate hereinafter described from M-2 to B-2, AND, WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, having considered the recom- mendation of said Plan Commission to reclassify said real estate, find and believe that the highest and best use of said real estate is that of B-2, AND, WHEREAS, all parties concerned have agreed that unless the project contemplated for said real estate is fully completed within three (3) years from date hereof that the property in question shall be considered eligible for rezoning back to the M-2 zoning classification; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of lk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois: Section 1. That an ordinance entitled "An ordinance to regulate and limit the height and bulk of buildings to regulate and limit the intensity of the use of lot areas, and to regulate and determine the areas of open space within and surrounding such buildings; to classify, regulate and restrict the location of trades and industries and the location of buildings designed for specified industrial business, residential and other uses to divide the entire Village of Elk Grove Village into districts for the purpose of this ordinance; to fix standards to which buildings or structures shall conform; to prohibit uses, buildings or structures incompatible with the character of such districts respectively; and to prevent additions to and alterations or remodeling of existing buildings or structures in such a way as to avoid the restrictions and limitations lawfully imposed hereunder, and to provide penalties for violation hereof," passed and approved July 8, 1957, known as Ordinance No. 20, as amended, be amended by reclassifying the following described real estate from M-2 to B-2: The South 514.00 feet of the North 544.00 feet of that part of the South half of the Southeast auarter of Section 27, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian lying West of the Wast line of State Route 83, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2. That said real estate as reclassified shall be subject to all the limitations and conditions ps.ced upon properties in the B-2 classification as defined in the ordinance aforementioned. -1- Section 3. That any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than One Hundred ($100) Dollars for each offense, and each da.y that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. PASSED this 23rd day of May , 1967.
