AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF THE TERM
"FOOD DEALERS" SO AS TO EXCLUDE THOSE INSPECTED
BY FEDERAL OR STATE AGENCIES FROM VILLAGE
LICENSING.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Iu Page, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 21.101 of the Municipal Code of Elk
Groveilk lege be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"21.101 Definition.) The term "food dealers"
as used in this chapter shall be construed to
mean and include every person, firm or corpora-
tion engaged in the sale of food or beverages
(other than intoxicating liquor) intended for
human consumption. It shall exclude, however,
any person, firm or corporation whose premises
are inspected for reasons of public health by
any Federal or State agency and who does not
sell its product at retail within the village."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from an er its passage, approval and publication according to
law.
