AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING WATER SPRINKLING RESTRICTIONS IN THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AMENDING SECTION 22A.701 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE VILLAGE_ OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and Du Page Counties, Illinois:
Section 1, That Section 22A.701 of the Municipal CJde of the Village of
Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
1122A.701 Water Sprinkling Restrictions. All persons who reside
or occupy premises in the Village shall not sprinkle lawns or
shrubbery with water distributed by the Village except as follows:
1. All persons who reside or occupy premises designated
by a street address which is an even number shall be
permitted to sprinkle between the hours of five (5) P.M.
and nine (9) P.M. on the even days of the month only.
2. All persons who reside or occupy premises designated by a
street address which is an odd number shall be permitted
to sprinkle between the hours of five (5) P. M. and
nine (9) P.M. on the odd days of the month only.
3. Upon application to the Village Clerk property owners
may obtain a special permit to sprinkle new lawns
every day for a period not to exceed two weeks."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
