AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 15.33 ACRES ON THE WEST
SIDE OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD A T COSMAN!-
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the
Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village by the Chicago
Title and Trust Company, as Trustee under its Trust No. 46221
and Vale Development Company, an Illinois corporation, being
the sole owners of record of the hereinafter described land and
territory, for annexation to the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk
Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing on said property; and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the Statutes in such cases made
and provided; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, have
examined said petition and believe it to be to the best interest
of said Village that said land and territory be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois:
"Section 1. That all land and territory described in said
petition o��—
That part of the southeast quarter of Section 29,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, described by beginning at a
point 21.44 chains north of the southwest corner
of said southeast quarter; thence south 870 east
1474 feet to an iron pipe stake in the center of
road, 39.15 feet south (measured along the center
line of road) from the east and west division line
of said southeast quarter; thence north in the
center of said road 450.89 feet to an iron pipe
stake at the intersection of said center line with
the center line of the gravel road to the east;
thence north in the center of the road 84.11 feet;
thence west 1499.4 feet to a point in the west line
of said southeast quarter 535 feet north of the
place of beginning; thence south 535 feet to the
place of beginning (excepting from said tract the
east 450.65 feet of the somth 290 feet thereof) in
Cook County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village,
is not within the limits of any municipality, contains no electors
and is not presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the
same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village, so
that hereafter said territory shall be included within the
boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law in such
case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk
Grove age s ereby directed to record a certified copy of
this ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory
with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effectroi m an�fter its passage and approval according to law.
