KENNEDY BOULEVARD TRUSTEES FRANCIS L DILLON EUGENE V. KEITH RALPH A. ITWIS RAISCON 11, MAL()J,I'.K GEORGE A. MUL.I.P.N (A1ARLES !. ZETI'EK. lit, WHER$AS, John F. Kennedy, past President of the United States was held in deep and affectionate esteem by the people of Elk Grave Village, and WHEREAS, it is both fitting and proper that the name John F. Kennedy be commemorated for the faithful and devoted service which he rendered to the citizens of the United States and the world, NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois: Section 1. That the name of Biesterfield Parkway is hereby changed to John F. Kennedy Boulevard in pursuance to the authority granted to the village by Section 11-80-19 of Chapter 24 of the Illinois Revised Statutes. Section 2. That the Street Department of the village is hereby ordered and directed to replace existing signs in accordance with the intent of this ordinance and that the Village Clerk is ordered and directed to record a copy of this ordinance with the Recorder of Deeds and that hereafter all village maps and plans and other official acts shall refer to Biesterfield Parkway as John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Section 3. That the Village Clerk shall send a certified copy of this ordinance to Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of the late President. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
