AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHICH PROPERTY CONSISTS OF
156.61 ACRES LYING NORTH OF THE CHICAGO DISTRICT
PIPELINE CCMPANY PROPERTY,
a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the
Grove Village by the Vale Development Company, an Illinois
corporation, being the sole owners of record of the hereinafter described land
and territory, for annexation to the Village of Elk Grove Village, and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits of any
municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, and
WHEREAS, Ben A. Markham, Sr., Reuben Markham, Margaret Markham, Carol J.
Milam and Marvin E. Milam are the sole electors residing thereon and have joined
in said petition for annexation and have consented thereto, and
WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies with the
requirements of the Statutes in such cases made and provided, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, have examined said petition and
believe it to be to the best interest of said Village that said land and territory
be annexed thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That all land and territory described in said petition to wit:
The West half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 41
North, Ran a 10, East of the Third Principal Meridien (except the
South 82-1/g2 feet thereof and excepting therefrom the following
described tract: beginning at the Northeast corner of said West
half; thence South on the Quarter Quarter Section line, 114.18
feet; thence West on a line parallel with the North line of said
Section, 773.77 feet more or less to a point 8.31 chains East of
the West line of said West half of the Northeast Quarter; thence
North 114.18 feet to the North line of said Section and thence
East to the place of beginning;
ALSO
The east half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township
41 North, Range 10, East of the Third Principal Meriden, except
the South 82-1/2 feet thereof, all in Cook County, Illinois.
which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is not within
the limits of any municipality, contains electors who have joined in said petition
and is not presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the same is hereby
annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall
be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village, as is by law
in such case made and provided.
Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village is
hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an
accurate plat of said territory with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois.

Section 3. That this +rdinance shall be in. full farog and effect from and
after its passage and appre+val according to lay.
