AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.610 SWIMMING
POOL FENCES IN THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NUd, THEREFORE,, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
Illinois.
Section 1. That Section 23.610 of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
1123.610 Fences. All outdoor swimming pools shall be
completely enclosed by a fence. All fence
openings or points of entry into pool area
enclosures shall be equipped with gates.
The fence and gates shall be five feet in
height above the grade level and shall be
constructed of a minimum 9 gauge woven wire mesh
corrosion -resistant material. All gates shall be
equipped with self-closing and self -latching
devices placed at the top of the gate. Fence
posts shall be decay or corrosion -resistant
and shall be set in concrete bases".
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
