HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 280 - 3/7/1963 - ANNEXATION/CENTEXCRDINANCE NO. 280 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY TO THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village, and Vale Development Company, an Illinois Corporation, being the sole owners of record cf the hereinafter described land and territory, and WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, has two electors residin g thereon, namely, J. W. Hale, and Nancy Hale, both of whom have joined ir, the petition for annexation, and WHEREAS, said petition is under oath and in all respects complies with the requirements of the statutes in such cases made and provided, and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village have examined said petition, have considered the question of annexation of the territory described therein, and believe it to be the best interests of the municipality that such territory be in fact annexed thereto, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Dupage, Illinois: Section 1. That all lands and territories described in said petition, to wit: The West half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 41 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. which territory is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove Village, is not within the limits of any municipality, contains two electors, namely, J. W. Hale and Nancy Hale, who have joined in the petition for annexation, and is not presently in any incorporated municipality, be and the same is hereby annexed to the Village of Elk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines of said Village, as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance together with an accurate plat of said territory with the recorder of deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
