AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14.801 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
REFERRING TO PENALTY, AND ADDING SECTION 14.801-1 PROVIDING GREATER SPECIFIC
PENALTY FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUEACE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS _
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That Section 14.801 of the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village
be and is hereby amended to read as follows:
"14.801. General. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision
of this Chapter shall be fined not less than One ($l) Dollar nor more than One
hundred (0100) Dollars for each offense, unless a different penalty is established
for the violation charged."
Section 2. That the Municipal Code of Elk Grove Village be and is hereby amended
by adding thereto Section 14.801-1 to read as follows:
"Section 14.801-1. Penalty for Violation of Section 14.701. Any person, firm
or corporation violating Section 14.701 of the Municipal Code of Elk Grove
Village shall be fined not less than One ($l) Dollar nor more than Two hundred
($h200) Dollars for each offense."
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
