AND BD., FIXING COMPENSATION FORORDINANCE NO. 159 AN CRDINANCE FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GRAVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village have not heretofore set and established compensation for its President and Board of Trustees, and WHEREAS, no compensation has heretofore been paid them, and WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interests of the Village of Elk Grove Village that the President and Board of Trustees be paid compensa- tion for their attendance at meetings, NUJ, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD CF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows: Section 1 That each Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall receive the sum of Fifteen ($vl5) Dollars for each meeting attended by him, provided, however, that he shall not be compensated for more than one meeting per week nor shall he receive compensation for mane than four meetings in any one calendar month. Section 2 That the President of the Village of Elk Grove Village shall receive the sum of Twenty-five (625) Dollars for each meeting at- tanded by him, provided, however, he shall not be compensated for more than one meeting per week nor shall he receive compensation for more than four meetings in any one calendar month. Section 3 A meeting, for the purpose of this ordinance, shall be defined as any regular, adjourned, or specially called meeting of the President and Board of Trustees. Section 4 That the Village Clerk shall, on the first of each calendar month, submit to the Village Treasurer a list of the meetings attended by each trustee of the Village and the President of the Village, which list shall contain the date of the meetings attended by each of the Trustees and the President, the place of the meeting and a designation as to whether the meeting attended was a regular, adjourned or specially called meeting. The Village Treasurer, upon receipt of said list, shall compensate each of said Trustees and the President accordingly. Section 5 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 13th day of February, 1961 APPROVED this 13th day of February, 1961 Charles A.
