HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 161 - 3/13/1961 - CALLING FOR REGULAR ELECTION 4/18/61ORDINANCE NO. 161 AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION OF OFFICERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE ON TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 1961 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois: Section 1 That there shall be a regular election of officers of the Village of 1 Grove Village on Tuesday, April 182 1961. Section 2 At said election there shall be elected: a Village President a Village Clerk 8 Village Trustees a Police Magistrate each for a four-year term, and 2 Library Directors each for a six-year term. Section 3 The ballot to be used in said election shall be is the form prescr a by statute, and it shall be the duty of the Village Clerk to see to the preparation of sufficient ballots for the election and to cause a sample of said ballot to be published prior to the day of the election in the Elk Grove Herald, a newspaper of general circulation published in said Village, and to cause to be provided the necessary election supplies. Section 4 At least fifteen but not more than thirty days prior to the elec fion, the Village Clerk shall cause to be published in UB Elk Grove Herald a notice of election which diall be substantially as follows: "Notice of Election "On the 18th day of April, 19612 there wi'3_be held a regular election of the Village of Elk Grove Village to elect a Village President, a Village Clerk, three Village Trustees and a Police Magistrate, each for a four-year term, and two Library Directors, for a six-year term each. "The precincts and polling places fur such election shall be as follows: "Precinct No. 1: All that area within the Village of Elk Grove Village lying north of the center line of Landmeier Road as extended. Polling Place: Ira L. Rupley Schuol, 305 E. Oakton Road. "Precinct Nu. 2: All that area within the Village of Elk Grove Village lying south of the center line of Landmeier Road as extended and north of the center line of Elk Grove Buulevard. Pulling Place: Ridge School, 650 Ridge Avenue. "Precinct No. 3: All that area within the Village of Elk Grove Village lying south of the center line of Elk Grove Boulevard. Polling Place: 690 Elk Grove Boulevard. "Polls shall be open from 6:00 o'clock a.m. to 6:00 ofolock p.m. Central Standard Time. "Published by order of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois. "CHARLES A. HODLMAIR, President "Attest: DOLORES L. OBERG, Village Clerk" Section 5 The precincts or voting districts for said election and the paling places shall be those designated in the preceding section. persons: Section 6 The judges of election shall be the following named Precinct No. 1: Dorothy Thulin, 540 Landmeier Road Mary Lou Arnrld, 46 Evergreen Street Louise Chalker, 521 Brynhaven Street Emma Youngquist, 37 Ridgewood Road Mary Allen, 500 Germaine Lane Precinct No. 2: Lois Canizzo, 758 Bonita Avenue Beverly Krasncw, 497 Verde Lane Ruth Paul, 597 Corrinthia Dr. Jan Hewes, 782 Bonita Ave. Eleanor Christianson, 851 Crest Avenue Precinct No. 3: Janet Rennhack, 400 Birchwood Avenue Goral Berkho£f, 391 Birchwood Avenue Therese Schoen, 1060 Hickory Lane Frank Stevens, 60C Pinewuod Drive Pat Fitzgerald, 378 Maple Lane Alternates: Pat Gersdcrf, 159 Willow Lane Pat Villars, 662 Grusvener Lane Section 7 Said election and all maters pertaining thereto shall be conduce manner prescribed by the Statutes of the State of Illinois.
