Petrie Village Clerk PUBLISHED: Ma,V 29. 1958 The Elk Grove Herald 3 President and Board of Trustees Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois Gentlemen: Your Plan Commission has been studying the boundaries and zoning of the various Village areas and particularly that portion in the vicinity of Centex Industrial Park described as follows: Of the South two-thirds, as measured along the East and West lines of that part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying East of a line drawn from a point in the North line of said Section, S. 15 chains East of the Northwest corner thereof, to a point in the South line of said Quarter, Quarter Section, 5. 10 chains East of the Southwest corner thereof, also that part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 35, lying West of the East line of Kuhlman°s Subdivision, being a Subdivision of part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, aforesaid in Cook County, Illinois This property lies East of Route 83 and consists of eight lots of Kuhlman's Subdivision and a twenty acre tract lying to the East of said subdivision and East of the old Busse Road No portion of State Route 83 adjoining Kuhlman°s subdivision is now within the Village despite the fact that the Village completely surrounds this area which aggregates U. 62 acres. In order that the Village may have control of State Route 83 and thereby assist the Chief of Police in maintaining traffic and to make uniform the area East of Route 83 as Industrial, the following recommendations are made: 1. That the aforesaid area be annexed to the Village under the appropriate statute; to facilitate this a proposed ordinance for annexation is enclosed herewith for your immediate consideration and action; 2. That your board turn over the matter of zoning of this area to the Zoning Board of Appeals to consider whether or not it should be zoned industrial along with the other properties which completely surround it. Respectfully submitted, PLAN COMMISSION, Village of Elk Grove Village By Jack C. Michala Secretary
