HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 68 - 7/14/1958 - ANNEX LAND SURROUNDED BY VLG.Ordinance No 69 AN ORDINANCE annexing land and territory completely surround,:d by the Village of Elk Grove Village WHEREAS, Section 7-11 of Chapter 23 of the llliiiois Revise=,' Statutes, 1957 provides: and, "Whenever anydnincorporated territory, containing t;xty acres or less, is wholly bounded by one or more mun. di- palities or is whoily bounded, by one or more municipu, ities and a river or lake, such territory may be annexed by any municipality by which it is bounded in whole or in part, by the passage of an ordinance to that effect. " WHEREAS, each of the two parcels of land and terri;o:y hereeia- after: described are completely surrounded by the Village of .:;i,: Grove Village; and WHEREAS, it will be for the best interests of the Villa rt, that said territory be annexed thereto, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT' ORDAINED by the President of. Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Gook County, Illin,,is Section 1. That the unincorporated territory described as f. Alovs: Of Lots 13 and 14 in William Thiemann Estate Subdivision of parts of Sections 28 and 29. Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Thi:cd Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois which unincorporated territory is completely surrounded by the Viliago o;. Elk Grove Village and contains less than 60 acres to -wit: Lot 13 - 0.45C97 acres and Lot 14 - .06769 acres be and the same is hereby annexed. to the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois so that hereafter said territory shall be included within the boundary lines and limits of said Village as is by law in such case made and provided. Section 2. That. the Village Clerk of this Village is hereby directed to record a certified copy of this ordinance, together with an accurate mao of said annexed territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and approval according to law. PASSED: this 14th day of July, A D. 1958.
