AN ORDINANCE annexing certain
lands to the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Illinois.
WHEREAS, a written petition has been filed with the Village
Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove Village by GREAT NORTHERN
DEVELOPMENT CO., a Delaware Corporation, being the sole owner of
record of the hereinafter described land and territory for annexation to the
Village of Elk Grove Village and OTTO GEHRKE and EMMA GEHRKE,
being all of the electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, said land and territory is not within the corporate
limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the Village of Elk Grove
Village, is inhabited and has the aforesaid electors residing thereon; and
WHEREAS, the said petition is under oath and in all respects
complies with the requirements of the statute in such case made and
provided; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of this Village
have examined said petition and have considered the question of the
annexation of the terribry described in said petition and believe it to be to
the best interests of the municipality that such territory be annexed
thereto; Now, Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
to -wit -
Section 1. That the lands and territory described in said petition,,
The North East Quarter of the North East Quarter
of Section 32 and the. North West Quarter of the
North West Quarter of Section 33, in Township Al
North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
v.•hich territory is contiguous to the 'Village of Ellc Grove VHL4ge 7 is ilat
embraced therein, is inhabited, contains two electors residing thereon
and is unincorporated, be and the same is hereby anne3red to f:he Village
of Flk Grove Village so that hereafter said territory shall be included
within the boundary lines and limits of said Village as is by law in such
case made and provided.
Section Z. The Village Cleric of this Village is hereby directed
to record a certified copy of this ordInv,-ace, together with an accurate
reap of said annexed territory, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County
Illinois.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to lacy.
