A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$52,495 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY AND SIGNAL
IMPROVEMENTS ON ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD, FAU ROUTE
2626 STATE SECTIONS 77WRS-86 AND 77WRS-1(89)
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, acting by and through its
Department of Transportation, is desirous of improving approximately
23,274 lineal feet of FAU Route 2626 (Arlington Heights Road), State
Sections 77WRS-86 and 77WRS-1(89), State Job Nos. C-91-525-89 and
C-91-526-89, and State Contract Nos. 80635 and 80636; and
WHEREAS, the improvements include the construction of traffic
signals on Arlington Heights Road at its intersection with Northwest
Point Boulevard, Bennett Drive and Higgins Road; the installation of
emergency vehicle pre-emption equipment; the installation of a
traffic signal interconnect system; the construction of new
sidewalks, and the adjustment/relocation of fire hydrants, valve
vaults and valve boxes; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has heretofore
committed to contributing certain funds for the construction of said
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village deem the passage of this Resolution to be in the
best interest and furtherance of the general welfare of the Village
of Elk Grove Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage
Counties of Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinbefore
set forth are hereby restated as though herein fully set forth.
Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$52,495 for construction and construction engineering costs
associated with proposed improvements on Arlington Heights Road.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove
Village shall transmit two (2) certified copies of this Resolution to
the District Office of the Department of Transportation, at
Schaumburg, Illinois.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Resolution in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according
to law.
