A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT
OF $6,900 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENTS ON ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD, FAU ROUTE
2626 AT INTERSTATE 90 (NORTHWEST TOLLWAY)
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, acting through its Division of
Highways, is desirous of improving FAU Route 2626 (Arlington Heights
Road) , at Interstate Route 90 (Northwest Tollway) in Cook County,
Illinois (State Section: N-7 (A & Z) HB-K; N-7-2 (F) ) , and,
WHEREAS, the improvements include the construction of a "FULL
INTERCHANGE" at Interstate 90 (Northwest Tollway) and Arlington
Heights Road, new ramps, pavement widening, interchange lighting and
traffic signals, and,
WHEREAS, the traffic signals to be constructed include an
emergency vehicle pre-emption "OPTICOM" system that will be installed
at the specific request of the Village, and,
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has heretofore
committed to contributing certain funds for the construction of said
traffic signal improvements, and, ,
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Elk Grove
Village deem the passage of this Resolution to be in the best
interest and furtherance of the general welfare of the Village of Elk
Grove Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Corporate Authorities of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties of
Illinois , as follows:
Section 1: That the provisions of the preamble hereinbefore
set forth are hereby restated as though herein fully set forth.
Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$6,900 for construction and construction engineering costs associated
with proposed traffic signal improvements on Arlington Heights Road
at its intersection with Ramp G of the Northwest Tollway Interchange.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk of the Village of Elk Grove
Village shall immediately transmit two (2) certified copies of this
Resolution to the District Office of the Department of Transportation,
at Schaumburg, Illinois.

Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Resolution in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage , approval and publication according
to law.
