A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP
(NORTH PARKWAY ROAD)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village President be and is hereby authorized to
sign the attached documents marked:
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP-NORTH PARKWAY
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set
forth and the Village Clerk is authorized to attest said documents upon the
signature of the Village President.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
NOW COME the VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE ( "Village" ) and
ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP ( "Township" ) municipal corporations existing
under the laws of the State of Illinois , and in consideration of
the mutual promises and conditions hereinafter set forth state
and agree as follows :
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, North Parkway, a road located off of Tonne Road,
between Center Street and Pratt Boulevard, has been maintained
by the Township by and through its Highway Commissioner; and
WHEREAS, under Illinois law and as a result of previous an-
nexation, the burden of said maintenance could transfer to the
Village ; and
WHEREAS, said road is exclusively used by Township residents
and residents of the Village derive little or no benefit therefrom;
and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of such maintenance by the Village,
according to Village Ordinance and custom and practice, would re-
quire considerable and expensive upgrading and repair of said road-
way to the detriment of the adjacent Township residents ; and
WHEREAS, the Village and Township are in agreement that said
residents would best be served if the Township continues mainte-
nance and snow removal for said roadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree that North Parkway, located
off of Tonne Road, between Center Street and Pratt Boulevard ( Sec-
tion 34 , Elk Grove Township) be and the same shall be maintained
by Elk Grove Township until such time and under such circumstances
as the parties shall hereafter mutually agree.
WHEREFORE, the parties set forth their hands and corporate
seals this 9th day of November 1993 .
