AN ORDINANCE amending Article
III of the Elk Grove Village Traffic
Ordinance.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County , Illinois:
Section 1. That Article III of an ordinance entitled "An
Ordinance pertaining to the regulation of traffic in the streets and
highways of the Village of Elk Grove `,tillage", (Ordinance No. 19) be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Section 36 to read
as follows:
Section 36. Load Limits. No vehicle or combination
of vehicles equipped with pneumatic tires shall be operated
unladen or with load upon the streets in the residence
districts of the Village (except Oakton Street, Landmeier
Road, Tonna Road and Arlington Heights Road) when the
gross weight exceeds 10,000 pounds, except as provided
in Section 35 of Article III hereof.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect upon its passage, approval and publication according to law.

Gentlemen:
We transmit herewith for your con3ideration the recommendation
adoroted by the Zoning Board of Appsals of Elk gGrove Village on
the petition of G,DAT PdUscTl-i.'.a:RN DEWELOPP+IENT CO., to
reclassify from 11R-1 Twenty Thousand Square Foot Single Family
Dwelling District" (so c3assiffied upon annexation) to "B-1 Business
District"a the following described property:
Lot Z in Sclinell's division, being a
Subdivisions in Sectinn 21, Township
41 North, Range 11, Est of the
Third PrinciQ.%l Meridian in Cools
County, Illinois
The property in question is located at the Southeast corner of
Digging Road and Arlington Heights Road and was formerly
occupied as a tavern and previous to annexation to the Village was
zoned as "B-1 Business" under the County Zoning Ordinance,
Your Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing as provided by
law and finds:

(1) Due notice was given by law;
�2p Petitioner plans to make some alteration in said
building to provide quarters for the Village Police
Department and a Sub -postal Station;
13) That the property surrounding said land is all zoned
for business uses;
14) The testimony presented is convincing of the public need
and general desirability of reclassifying the property in
question for business uses;
Your Zoning Board of Appeals therefore recommends to the Village
Board that the above property be rezoned in accordance with the
proposed ordinance submitted herewith.
