A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A TRANSPORTATION PROJECT
TO THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE TECHNICAL TRANSPORTATION
PLANNING GROUP BY THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the President and Board of Trustees do hereby
authorize the submission of transportation projects to the Northwest
Municipal Conference Technical Transportation Planning Group for
consideration.
Section 2: That copies of the project applications prioritized
as follows:
Exhibit A - NW TOLLROAD/ARLINGTON HTS. RD. INTERCHANGE; and
Exhibit B - FULL INTERCHANGE, NW TOLLROAD AND ELMHURST ROAD;
which are attached hereto and made a part hereof.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.

Full interchange at the NW Tollroad and Arlington Heights Road.

Tollroad authority. The tollroad has an entrance for eastbound
traffic and exit for west bound traffic. A tollroad exit for
eastbound traffic and entrance for west bound traffic are necessar

Tollroad. All required public hearings have been held.

a. What is the anticipated impact or problem solved by
completion of the project?
Facilitates the movement of traffic. provides a regional transportation

relieves congestion at other points of Ingress egress to the
NW Tollroad.

1. Projects that have already been initiated or

IDOT is completing Phase I reports. IDOT Bureau of
Design has begun contract plans. Toll roaAut ority
is reviewing interchange geometrics.
2. Multi -community projects that have the
endorsement of all communities affected by the
project. Full endorsements by Arlington Heights and
Elk Grove Village.
7. Projects having significant multi—community
sub—regional impact. Provides full interchange
access to two communities via a regional tollroad.
4. Projects submitted in response to immediate
problems or difficulties. Provides full access to
both Arlington Heights and Elk Grove Village and in
particular to commercial lindustrial areas o of
communities.
5. Projects included in the region multi-year
programs.

The project is to secure a full interchange at the Nw Tollroad
and Elmhurst Road. It has been the posture of Des Plaines,
Mt. Prospect and E1X Grove Village tnat a full, not partial,
or the tnree communities. Goocs, employees, ana vehicles
require full access to the largest consolidated locateon o
industrial firms in the State of Illinois.
III. PROJECT IMPACT
a. What is the anticipated impact or problem solved by
completion of the project?
The tollroad has an entrance for eastbound traffic and exit
for west bound traffic. A tollroad exit for eastbound ra lc
