A RESOLUTION DIRECTED TO THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS,
COOK COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS, AND THE COUNTY CLERK FOR TRANSMITTAL
TO COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PROTESTING THE REZONING OF
PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF MEACHAM ROAD APPROXIMATELY
1270 FEET SOUTH OF BIESTERFIELD ROAD
WHEREAS, the petitioners and owners, Rose Walshin and Francine
Chaulousky of the property legally described as follows:
The East 370.57 ft. of West 420.57 ft. of South
80.0 ft. of South 178.00 ft. of North 37.5 acres
of West 75 acres of East 1/2 of Northwest 1/4
of Section 36, T41N, RIO, East of the Third
Principal Meridian.
have petitioned for rezoning of same from R-5 Single Family Residential
District to a Special Use in the R-5, Single Family District to permit an
on -premise real estate office.
WHEREAS, said case has been docketed as Docket Number 4817 by the
Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is contiguous to this
property on the West side.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State
of Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby
register objection to the petitioner's request for the rezoning of the
subject property described above for the following reasons:
a. The Elk Grove Village Comprehensive Plan and Official Map
adopted October 22, 1968 and duly filed with the Cook
County Clerk declares said land to be within our future
annexation plans and for it to be within the corporate
limits of Elk Grove Village, with a R-3 Zoning Class-
ification. The proposed Special Use is inconsistent
with the Official Map.
b. That the Cook County Comprehensive Land Use and Policies
Plan (adopted in 1976 and with 1984 revisions) shows this
and the properties abutting it on the North, East and
South sides as Single Family Residential. The property
on the South is used for a church a permitted use in
R-5 Single Family.
c. That the best and most suitable use of the property is
that of Single Family Residential, not commercial use
for offices as requested; that the Village therefore
requests the denial of the application.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
Section 3: That the Village Clerk's Office is hereby directed to
submit the foregoing Resolution to all governmental bodies that have
jurisdiction and/or interest in the development of the premises as set
forth above and as set forth in the caption thereto.
