A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARDING OF A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF BIESTERFIELD ROAD EXTENDED WITH THE COST TO
BE SHARED BY THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND THE VILLAGE
OF SCHAUMBURG
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Village of Elk Grove Village
to execute a contract to provide for the intergovernmental construction of
a roadway; and
WHEREAS, the Villages of Elk Grove Village and Schaumburg, in order to
facilitate the movement of traffic have agreed to share in the cost of the
extension of Biesterfield Road to Wise Road (from Plum Grove Road to east
of Michigan Lane).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois:
Section 1. That the President and Board of Trustees hereby authorize
the awarding of a contract for the construction of Biesterfield Road extended
to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder R. W. Duntemann Company at
a cost of $895,468.88 to be shared between the Villages of Elk Grove Village
and Schaumburg as follows:
Elk Grove Village (61.38%) $ 549,599.13
Schaumburg (38.62%) $ 345,869.75
TOTAL $ 895,468.88
Section 2. That the President and Board of Trustees hereby authorize
the sharing of the cost for Engineering Services between the Villages of
Elk Grove Village and Schaumburg as follows:
Elk Grove Village (61.38%) $ 153,228.42
Schaumburg (38.62%) $ 96,410.58
TOTAL $ 249,639.00
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
