A RESOLUTION APPROVING A STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT
TO INSTALL PUBLIC SIDEWALKS BETWEEN THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND METROPOLITAN LIFE
(25 NORTHWEST POINT BOULEVARD)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section l : That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby
accept the attached document marked:
"Statement of Commitment to Install
Public Sidewalks"
25 Northwest Point Boulevard
a copy of which is attached hereto and made of part hereof as
if fully set forth.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage approval according to law.

Dear Mr . Willis :
Metropolitan Life Insurance Company agrees to construct public
sidewalk along the Arlington Heights Road frontage of the
above-described property in the Village of Elk Grove Village
immediately upon receiving notice to do so from the Village of
Elk Grove Village. We agree to construct all appurtenances
required for the public sidewalk construction and will secure
all the necessary permits for the construction.
Should the Village of Elk Grove Village award a contract for the
sidewalk construction, we agree to pay our pro-rata share of the
cost . If property ownership is to be transferred prior to the
construction of a public sidewalk, we agree to require the new
owner to execute a "Statement of Commitment to Install Public
Sidwalk" satisfactory to the Village of Elk Grove Village prior
to the transfer of ownership.

I understand that the sidewalk construction waiver and the
"Statement of Commitment to Construct Public Sidewalk" will be
recorded in the County Clerk' s office by the Village of Elk
Grove and the cost thereof is the responsibility of the
applicant .

Dear Alan:
The Village has required that Metropolitan make a Statement of
Commitment to construct a public sidewalk along Arlington
Heights Road adjacent to Lot 8 in the Park at Northwest Point .
It is Metropolitan' s opinion that this sidewalk is not warranted
due to the fact that it does not lead to any destination point
and will not be used by pedestrians .
However, in order to comply with the Village ' s requirements ,
attached is a Statement of Commitment to construct the public
sidewalk. Metropolitan would appreciate it if the Village would
reconsider this requirement prior to giving us notice to
construct the public sidewalk.
Please forward a copy of the recorded documentation when it
becomes available.
