A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS CONDUCTED BY
THE CANVASSING BOARD OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE OF
THE VOTES OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION FOR VILLAGE OFFICIALS
HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 1987 AND PROCLAIMING THE RESULTS
WHEREAS, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, on Tuesday,
April 7, 1987, for the purpose of election three (3) Village Trustees -
each for a four (4) year term; Three (3) Library Directors - each for a
six (6) year term; and one (1) Library Director - for a two (2) year
term.
WHEREAS, the Village President, a Village Trustee, and the Village
Clerk met after due notice to all concerned parties and canvassed the
results of the election as required by statute by examining the official
tally sheets and returns which have been transmitted to the Village
Clerk by the Countv Clerk and have made their report to the Village
Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties,
Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That said election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2: That a total of 657 votes were cast in the
following manner:
For the Office of Village Trustee:
Edward R. Hauser 481
Michael A. Tosto 491
James P. Petri 454
Section 3: That a total of 657 votes were cast for the
Office of Library Director in the following manner:
For a six (6) ,year term:
Paul A. Rettberg 502
Gerald J. Wonak 474

Section 4: That the Proclamation of the Canvassing Board is
hereby accepted in total.
Section 5: That Edward R. Hauser, Michael A. Tosto and James P.
Petri received the highest number of votes for the Office of Village
Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of four (4) years
each and are hereby declared elected.
Section 6: That Paul A. Rettberg, Gerald J. Wonak and Bart
Dill received the highest number of votes for the Office of Library
Director and are hereby declared elected to the Office of Library
Director of the Villaqe of Elk Grove Village for a term of six (6) ,years
each.
Section 7: That Frederick 0. Klaus received the highest number
of votes for the Office of Library Director of the Village of Elk Grove
Village for a term of two (2) years.
Section 8: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after it passage and approval according to law.
