A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF THE INFLOW/INFILTRATION CORRECTIVE
ACTION PROGRAM OF THE METROPOLITAN SANITARY DISTRICT OF
GREATER CHICAGO
WHEREAS, there were a series of meetings held between elected
local officials and representatives of the Metropolitan Sanitary
District of Greater Chicago, the Illinois Environmental Protection
Agency and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the outcome of the meetings was a "Sewer Summit Agreement"
which was approved by the MSDGC Board of Commissioners and the munici-
palities of the Northwest Municipal Conference; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has indicated its approval
of the "Sewer Summit Agreement" by passage of Resolution No. 89-85 on
November 12, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the "Sewer Summit Agreement" contains an alternative criteria
option, known as the Infiltration/Inflow Corrective Action Program (ICAP);
and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village desires to pursue the alter-
native "I/I Corrective Action Program";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Village of Elk Grove Village by adoption of this
resolution indicates its intention to pursue the 1/1 Corrective Action
Program as contained in the Sewer Summit Agreement prepared by MSDGC and
the tributary communities dated September, 1985, and subject to the devel-
opment of further criterian by the ]CAP Technical Panel;
Section 2. That the Village President is hereby authorized to execute
this resolution;
Section 3. That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified
copy of this Resolution to the Secretary of the Metropolitan Sanitary District
of Greater Chicago and the Northwest Municipal Conference.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
