A RESOLUTION FORMALLY OBJECTING TO THE REZONING
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE COOK COUNTY ZONING
BOARD OF APPEALS (DOCKET NO. 4451)
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village have been advised that the Cook
County Zoning Board of Appeals is in the process of conducting
a public hearing to consider the rezoning of certain property
located at the Northwest corner of Oakton Street and Busse
Road, legally described hereinafter, under Docket No. 4451
which request for rezoning is from the C-4 General Commercial
District to the C-6 Automotive Service District; and
WHEREAS, the rezoning as above described may have a
deleterious affect on surrounding properties, which properties
are within the corporate limits of the Village of Elk Grove
Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, pursuant to Resolution No. 20-86
duly passed and approved on the 25th day of February, 1986
have declared its intent to involuntarily annex the subject
property and to that end have authorized the Village Attorney
to prepare the necessary documentation to effectuate same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DUPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village do hereby formally object
to the rezoning of that property identified by the Cook County
Zoning Board of Appeals Docket No. 4451, which property is
located at the Northwest corner of Oakton Street and Busse
Road and legally described as follows:
That part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast
1/4 of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range
11 commencing at the Southeast corner of said
Southeast 1/4 thence West 277.05 feet; thence
North 75 feet; thence continuing Nurth 200.0
feet; thence East 200 feet; thence South 190.00
feet; thence West Southwesterly 120.42 feet;
thence West 80 feet to the point of beginning
East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook
County, Illinois
said rezoning being from the C-4 General Commercial District
to the C-6 Automotive Service District.
Section 2:
That the Village Attorney is hereby directed
to deliver a certified copy of this Resolution as well as
Resolution No. 20-86 to the Secretary of the Cook County Zoning
Board of Appeals by March 5, 1986.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
