A RESOLUTION APPROVING A STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT
TO INSTALL PUBLIC SIDEWALKS BETWEEN THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND HENRY DUDA/ZIP DEE, INC.
(96 CROSSEN AVENUE)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1: That the Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby
accept the attached document marked:
"Statement of Commitment to Install
Public Sidewalks"
a copy of which is attached hereto and made of part hereof as
if fully set forth.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage approval according to law.

Dear Mr. Willis:
In response to Mr. Zettek's letter of May 24, 1984, I would like to make a
commitment to install a sidewalk on Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois,
when and if the Village of Elk Grove determines it is necessary.
In the event the property is sold, I will make this commitment a condition of
the sale to the new owners.

As you recall when I visited with you at the groundbreaking,
you indicated your concern over having to install a sidewalk along
Higgins Road. Your concern was installing a sidewalk which was not
contiguous to your neighboring properties. I indicated to you I would
discuss your concerns with our staff and inquire if we could provide
you with some relief until the day, however near or distant, we would
be prepared to say sidewalks must be installed along Higgins Road to
provide a continuous walkway.
I'm delighted to inform you that if you are prepared to put
into writing a commitment to install a sidewalk when and if the Village
determines they are to be installed along Higgins Road, you can be
offered the relief from installing a walk at this time. It would also
be advisable to commit to the condition that should you sell your
property, the new owner, by terms of the sale, would be equally bound
to install a sidewalk should and when the Village require same.
If you will prepare such a letter addressed to Mr. Charles A.
Willis, Village Manager, with a copy to me, the matter can be successfully
concluded. Should you have any questions, you can also direct them to
Mr. Willis, and I am sure he can resolve them for you.
As always, you have my best wishes for good health and continued
success in all your endeavors.
