MANAGER, A PROFESSIONAL. A FRIEND
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village and the Village
of Arlington Heights share common boundaries:
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has participated
in intergovernmental activities with a number of govern-
mental entities;
WHEREAS, effective and efficient local government can be
achieved with the wholehearted support and hard work of a
number of people;
WHEREAS, one such person has consistently given his time,
talent and expertise to achieve excellence in the delivery
of local public services to his own Municipality, to other
Municipalities, and to Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, that person has been instrumental in advocating
and implementing progressive intergovernmental relations
and programs for the use and benefit of many Municipalities,
including the Village of Elk Grove Village;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Elk Grove
Village does here and now publicly express its heartfelt
appreciation to Leonard A. Hanson for his personal and pro-
fessional dedication toward sound local government services;
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that Leonard A. Hanson be and is
hereby commended for his leadership in the devotion to
intergovernmental services, programs and cooperation;
BE IT RESOLVED that on the occasion of Leonard A. Hanson's
retirement on April 30, 1984 as Village Manager, Village
of Arlington Heights, and from other leadership duties,
the Village President, Board of Trustees and Village
Manager of the Village of Elk Grove Village, through this
RESOLUTION, do extend their THANK YOU to Leonard A. Hanson
for his outstanding service and unselfish contributions in
the field of Local and Intergovernmental Public Administra-
tion; and
IT IS RESOLVED that this RESOLUTION be suitably framed and
presented to our friend, Rudy Hanson, with our best wishes
for good health and a rewarding new life.
Passed and Approved on the 27th day of March 1984
by the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Cook and Du Page Counties, Illinois.
