RESOLUTION NO. 70-84
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 46-81 (Ali AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND WARNER AMEX CABLE COMMUNICA=
TIONS COMPANY OF NORTHWEST SUBURBS) AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE
PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE CLERK TO SIGN AN AMENDED CABLE TV FRANCHISE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE AND AMERICAN
CABLESYSTEMS OF ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Warner Amex Cable Communications , Inc. has indicated its
intention to sell the assets of the CATV system serving the Village of Elk
Grove Village to American Cablesystems of Illinois, A Massachusetts Limited
Partnership, ("American") and assign its rights under the franchise granted
by Resolution No. 46-81 to American; and
WHEREAS, American has made various presentations to the Village of
Elk Grove Village concerning its plans to upgrade and improve the CATV system
serving the Village of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, The Village of Elk Grove Village and American are both
desirous of making certain amendments to Resolution No. 46-81 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State
of Illinois as follows:
Section 1 : That the Franchise Agreement adopted by Resolution No.
46-81 be and the same is hereby amended by Exhibit "L" attached hereto
and make a part hereof.
Section 2: That anything now set forth in Resolution No. 46-81
which is not inconsistent with the amendments herein set forth is herewith
ratified, republished and reconfirmed.
Section 3: That the Village President be and is hereby authorized to
sign the attached document identified as Exhibit "I" (amended Franchise
Agreement) between the Village of Elk Grove Village and American Cable-
system of Illinois, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof as if fully set forth and the Village Clerk is authorized to
attest said document upon the signature of the Village President.
Section 4: This Resolution shall take effect upon the transfer
of the assets of the CATV system serving the Village of Elk Grove Village,

City of Rolling Meadows, Village of Palatine, Village of Hoffman Estates
and the Village of Buffalo Grove and the Franchise embodied in Resolution
No. 46-81 as amended from Warner Amex to American Cablesystems of
Illinois, A Massachusetts Limited Partnership ("American'') . Whithin 15
days of said transfer, American shall file evidence of same with the Village
of Elk Grove Village.
